2008 LAMONT’S CABERNET SAUVIGNON – MERLOT.

Harvest Dates: Forrester Vineyard (Yallingup) - Cabernet Sauvignon, March 2008.
Lamont’s (Millendon) - Cabernet Sauvignon, March 2008.
Archibald Vineyard (Millendon) – Merlot, February 2008.

Blend: 85% Cabernet Sauvignon, 15% Merlot, (57% Margaret River, 43% Swan Valley).
Fermentation: Parcels were separately fermented prior to blending and twelve months maturation in second use French oak barriques.
Bottling Date: 1st July 2009.
Quantity: 729 cases.

Colour:  Mid red, youthful bright hue.
Bouquet:  Briary black fruits, bay leaf, cedary oak.
Palate:  Blackcurrant cassis, leafy, herbal notes with a hint of oak derived spice.
Cellaring:  Lamont’s most popular red blend will continue to improve for the next five years.
