Harvest dates: Barton Vineyard 9th March 2006.

Blend: 98%
Shiraz, 2% Viognier
Fermentation: Crushed, destemmed and cold soaked for 2 days, the 3 components were fermented separately in 4.5 tonne open fermenters at temperatures between 19 degrees C – 30 degrees C. Pressed to tank to complete primary ferment followed by inoculation for full malo, then racked to barrel for 2 years maturation in new and 1 year old French oak barriques.
Bottling date: 19th August 2008.
Quantity: 440 cases.
Colour: Vibrant, black red.
Bouquet: Abundant black fruits, licorice, spice, good length.
Palate: Smooth and supple, enhanced red fruits, fragrant bouquet, medium bodied palate with well handled tannins and oak input.
Cellaring: Will repay medium term cellaring.
